Jeju Air, South Korea’s leading low-cost carrier, has entered into a new technology partnership with Amadeus to implement the Amadeus Segment Revenue Management Flex (Amadeus SRM Flex). This agreement marks a significant step as Jeju Air continues to modernize its operations in response to the aviation industry’s post-pandemic recovery.

With the aviation sector increasingly leveraging technology to optimize retailing and boost capacity, Jeju Air is focusing on enhancing its cost competitiveness. Having achieved record earnings last year, the airline is now strategically investing in advanced solutions. Amadeus is proud to support Jeju Air in this transformative journey.

Jaepil Jung, Chief Commercial Officer, Jeju Air said: “Amadeus SRM Flex will help us understand exactly how the Jeju Air routes are performing, allowing our team to easily find revenue opportunities from the information at their fingertips. As we grow our tour operator business, we are working with Amadeus to develop the solution to accurately manage and forecast bookings, creating a solution to perform total revenue optimization.”

In 2022, Amadeus expanded its revenue management capabilities by acquiring Kambr, a US-based startup renowned for its expertise in revenue management solutions and advisory services for airlines. This strategic acquisition has enabled Amadeus to integrate Kambr’s innovative technology into its suite of tools, with SRM Flex now becoming a key component of the Amadeus Revenue Management Portfolio.

Javier Laforgue, Executive Vice President, Travel Unit & Managing Director, Asia Pacific, Amadeus said:“Amadeus SRM Flex empowers analysts at Jeju Air with more sophisticated intelligence allowing them to streamline their workflows and improve their data-driven decision-making process. When high volumes of sales come in via travel agency partners, the solution equips users with additional insights for comprehensive inventory control, enabling informed choices and leveraging data science to optimize distribution, seat inventory, and pricing. Amadeus has worked closely with Jeju Air over the last few years, most recently during its adoption of the New Skies PSS, and now we look forward to further innovating with the airline in the revenue management space.”

Jeju Air is set to elevate its revenue management capabilities with the implementation of Amadeus SRM Flex. This advanced solution will offer Jeju Air a highly flexible and streamlined work environment, enabling the airline to leverage comprehensive data sources and automate daily operations. Designed to enhance the airline’s ability to predict and respond to customer demand, SRM Flex aims to optimize revenue generation.

Founded in 2005, Jeju Air has established itself as a pioneering low-cost carrier, committed to making air travel more accessible and affordable. With a network spanning 47 cities and 66 routes, including connections from Guam to Incheon/Busan and Saipan to Incheon/Busan, Jeju Air continues to innovate and deliver exceptional value to travelers.
