CSMIA, managed by Adani Airport Holdings, is set to celebrate Aviation Security Culture Week from August 5-11, 2024, focusing on enhancing passenger security.

Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport (CSMIA), under the management of Adani Airport Holdings Limited (AAHL), a subsidiary of Adani Enterprises, part of the globally diversified Adani Group, is gearing up to celebrate Aviation Security Culture Week from August 5th to August 11th, 2024. This year’s theme, ‘Enhancing Passenger Security through Effective Divestment’, focuses on increasing awareness and reinforcing security measures within the aviation sector and among travelers. CSMIA aims to showcase its strong commitment to security and passenger safety.

The festivities will commence with a grand opening ceremony at Terminal 2, including a lamp lighting, opening remarks by Mr. Prakash Nikam Amrit, the Regional Director of the Bureau of Civil Aviation Security (BCAS) for Mumbai Region, and an official oath-taking session. Highlights of the week include an exciting 5-kilometer Mini Marathon passing significant landmarks like Shivaji Smarak and concluding at the airport.

Aviation Security Culture Week at CSMIA promises a variety of engaging and innovative activities. The airport will host an interactive quiz competition for aviation stakeholders, thrilling ‘spin the wheel’ contests, and selfie points at Terminals 1 and 2. Demonstrating its commitment to the community, CSMIA will conduct an awareness campaign for underprivileged children through educational visits to schools and slum areas, in collaboration with local NGOs. Additionally, staff members will perform entertaining skits for passengers, emphasizing the airport’s dedication to fostering a security culture.

The week will wrap up with a closing ceremony featuring prize distributions for quiz winners and a lively flash dance performance, celebrating the successful efforts to enhance aviation security awareness.
