Propeller Airports proudly announces that the Seattle Paine Field Passenger Terminal has been honored with Newsweek’s Reader’s Choice Award for Best Small Airport in the U.S. Among a competitive field of outstanding airports nationwide, Seattle Paine Field secured third place. This prestigious award joins a collection of accolades celebrating the terminal’s outstanding customer service, tranquil atmosphere, and premium amenities.

“We are honored to receive this award acknowledging Seattle Paine Field as one of the best small airports in the nation,” said Brett Smith, CEO of Propeller Airports. “Since the terminal’s inception, we have worked hard to ensure that Seattle Paine Field offers the best possible service and experience for our customers, and it is gratifying to see industry leaders continue to recognize our work.”

Nominees for the Newsweek Reader’s Choice Award are meticulously chosen by a panel of travel experts, including writers whose work has been featured in Condé Nast Traveler, Business Insider, and Modern Luxury. Among the honorees, Seattle Paine Field stands out alongside long-established airports like Missoula Montana Airport and Lexington Kentucky’s Blue Grass Airport, earning recognition based on reader votes.

In bestowing the award, Newsweek praised Seattle Paine Field for its “sleek and modern” design and its “customer-centric experience for air passengers,” highlighting the lounge-like atmosphere and locally sourced food options.

Despite having just over five years of commercial passenger service operations, Paine Field’s Passenger Terminal is revolutionizing the airport experience in the U.S. with its exceptional passenger amenities, cutting-edge facilities, and serene environment. The terminal boasts floor-to-ceiling glass windows, fireplaces, lounge-style seating, and glass jet bridges, creating a unique and inviting space for travelers.

Propeller Airports’ public-private partnership with Snohomish County is a rare model in the United States but is a well-established and successful practice internationally. This collaboration provides residents with a convenient local option for air travel and has driven significant economic growth in the region, generating new jobs, supporting local businesses, and saving taxpayer dollars.
