Hitachi Rail and EASIER have won the tender issued by EGIS, an international French engineering group specializing in transport infrastructure, to provide ticketing systems for the “Câble C1” project, the first public transport cable car in Île-de-France. This new cable car will connect the cities of Créteil (94) and Villeneuve-Saint-Georges (94) via Limeil-Brévannes and Valenton. Initiated by Île-de-France Mobilité, this ambitious project is set to be completed in 2025.

Île-de-France Mobilité trusts Hitachi Rail’s integrated ticketing system solutions to adapt to rapid technological changes and meet new local mobility demands, alongside EASIER’s infrared detection technology “DIRAS” gates, aimed at streamlining the travel of approximately 1,600 passengers during peak hours while ensuring optimal fraud management.

EASIER has been selected for the manufacturing, installation, and maintenance of nearly 60 swing gate access control gates. Hitachi Rail’s TranscityTM solution will be securely integrated into Île-de-France Mobilités’ ticketing ecosystem and will manage transactions through a comprehensive range of contactless payment options.

For Hitachi Rail and EASIER, this success once again demonstrates their recognized expertise in an increasingly connected transport sector, leveraging innovative technologies to simplify the passenger experience.

“We are proud of the trust that Ile-de-France Mobilités has placed in us on this innovative public transport project for the first cable car in Ile-de-France. We are committed to providing our experience in terms of equipment reliability and continue to collaborate with EASIER while remaining committed to driving innovation in the transportation sector. » Jean-Marc Reynaud, Vice President Hitachi Rail – Revenue Collection System

“We regularly collaborate with the Hitachi Rail Group, particularly as part of the Grand Paris metro project. This partnership between our companies allows us to remain ever more competitive but above all to deploy our products and expertise for the transport of as many passengers as possible. The “Cable C1” of Créteil, the first urban cable car in Île-de-France, promises to be a small revolution in the world of Parisian mobility. With flyovers of between 25 and 40 meters, there is no doubt that this new mode of public transport will be innovative, both in the design of the vehicle and in the ground infrastructure. » Alain Combette, Sales Director for EASIER
