Condor Enhances Passenger Experience With New A321neo Aircraft

On June 19, Condor Airlines welcomed its first brand-new A321neo aircraft. This significant addition embarked on its inaugural passenger flight from Frankfurt to Tenerife South (TFS) this Friday as flight DE1478, with the return journey marked as DE1479. Following this initial voyage, the A321neo will be servicing routes from Düsseldorf to various Greek islands such as Chania, Heraklion, Preveza, and Kos, along with destinations like Jerez de la Frontera and Pristina in Kosovo.

Elevated Passenger Experience

The Condor A321neo features a two-class configuration with Business Class and Economy Class, offering a total of 233 seats in a 3-3 layout. Passengers can enjoy the “FlyConnect” internet and entertainment portal, which provides a selection of blockbusters, classics, children’s films, and music, all streamable on personal devices free of charge. Guests also have the option to purchase data packages for continuous connectivity throughout their flight.

The cabin design emphasizes comfort and sophistication, incorporating increased storage space in overhead bins and tailored mood lighting. Combined with Condor’s distinct color scheme, this creates a welcoming and relaxing atmosphere for travelers.

Ongoing Modernization Commitment

Condor Airlines continues its path of modernization. Having completed the renewal of its long-haul fleet with factory-new A330neo aircraft in March, the airline is now focusing on its short and medium-haul routes with 43 A32Xneo orders. The newly received A321neo, registered as D-ANMZ, is the first of 28 such aircraft ordered. In May, Condor also introduced its first A320neo in the vibrant “Passion” livery, which is already in operation.

Advanced Fleet Features

Condor’s new fleet signifies a significant advancement in aviation technology, efficiency, and passenger comfort. The A32Xneo family aircraft are equipped with the latest Pratt & Whitney engines—PW1127G on the A320neo and PW1133G on the A321neo—delivering a 20% reduction in fuel consumption and the capability to operate with Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). These aircraft also achieve up to 20% lower CO2 emissions and 50% less noise. Specifically, the A321neo consumes just 1.7 liters of kerosene per passenger per 100 kilometers, while the A320neo consumes 1.9 liters, all while ensuring maximum comfort.

Once the modernization is complete, Condor will have one of the youngest and most advanced fleets in Europe, reinforcing its position as Germany’s leading leisure airline.
