Mystifly Partners with Costco Travel to Offer Exclusive Hawaiian Airlines Content Through New Smart Selling Platform

Mystifly announced today that its Smart Selling Platform (SSP) is now utilized by Costco Travel, initially to access exclusive content from Hawaiian Airlines via NDC and to streamline post-booking services across various content sources. This integration broadens the flight options for Costco members and improves their booking process. As an HA Connect Approved Partner, Mystifly’s SSP enables Costco Travel to provide exclusive Hawaiian Airlines flights and features available only through HA Connect. These include exclusive inter-island flights, frequent flyer personalization, and dynamically priced extras. An additional advantage for Costco Travel is that these premium offerings from Hawaiian Airlines come without a Distribution Cost Recovery Surcharge.

Costco Travel, part of the global retail giant Costco, previously relied on a Global Distribution System (GDS) for its flight packages. However, as airlines like Hawaiian move towards distributing premium content exclusively through NDC, Costco Travel needed a technological solution to manage the increasing fragmentation of air content from multiple sources, including GDS, NDC, and proprietary APIs. This integration facilitates both online and call center sales and services at costcotravel.com.

After a rigorous RFP process, Costco Travel chose the Mystifly platform. This Platform-as-a-Service solution standardizes access to airfare from various sources through a single connection, ensuring that Costco members find the best travel deals available, whether booking online or through call center agents.
