Drayton Aerospace, a leading force in the global Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) market, has become the latest affiliate member of the Latin American and Caribbean Air Transport Association (ALTA).
Founded in 2006, Drayton Aerospace excels in repairing and overhauling components, structures, fuselage, landing gear, tires, and brakes. They also market aeronautical materials and provide calibration and measurement of technical tools for various fleets, including A320, A330, B737 CL/NG, B757, B767, ERJ, ATR, Hawker 800, and P-3. Their operations are approved by the FAA, EASA, ANAC Brazil, and DIRMAB (Brazilian Air Force).
With operations in Brazil, the United States, Hong Kong, Singapore, Dubai, and China, Drayton Aerospace employs around 500 people, serving a diverse range of customers from commercial airlines to general and government aviation.
In 2019, Drayton Aerospace marked a significant milestone by starting operations in Brazil, acquiring equipment and tools previously owned by TAP M&E in Porto Alegre. The company has since invested heavily in enhancing its capabilities, aiming to transform the Porto Alegre facility into an international hub specializing in fuselage (Hangar 1), engines, and components. Additionally, in 2023, they expanded their South American presence by acquiring a 19,000m2 facility for landing gear and component services in Rio de Janeiro.
