Just in time for summer flings, U Beauty has teamed up with influencer Christina “Tinx” Najjar to drop the most flattering “Rom Com” rosy pink shade of the brand’s ultra-popular Plasma Lip Compound. This marks U Beauty’s first-ever collaboration since the luxury skin care line launched in 2019.

Christina ‘Tinx’ Najjar, often referred to as ‘the internet’s big sister,’ is a New York Times bestselling author, podcast host, and influencer, where she uses her platform to share dating tips and advice to her combined following of 2 million people on Instagram and TikTok. Tinx’s custom Plasma Lip Compound Tint paints the celebrity-loved luxury lip balm in an appropriately flirty, soft pink shade with barely-there flecks of shimmer for a lip-enhancing effect.

“I have loved U Beauty since I was first introduced to the brand a couple of years ago,” Tinx shared in a press release. “I have tried all the stereotypical lip products out there and to be honest, none of them blew me away. When I started using The Plasma, I noticed an actual difference. It’s just so good. I use it every single day of my life.”

I, too, am a card-carrying member of the Plasma Lip Compound fan club. Since I got my hands on the new U Beauty x Tinx Plasma Lip Compound, I’ve worn it for long days at the office and over lip liner for nights out. If you haven’t splurged on the Plasma Lip Compound before, a few things you should know that justify the higher price point: It’s a hybrid product that applies like a lip balm, delivers the sheen of a great lip gloss, and resurfaces and hydrates the lips like a top lip mask. I haven’t used the Plasma Lip Compound long enough to notice a measurable difference in the long-term fullness of my lips (the brand says that’ll happen after a month of use), however they always look plumper in the hour or two after I apply it.

The new Rom Com shade is a soft, cool pink that’s earned me many compliments — notably that my teeth are looking white and my lips look lush. Because of the cool undertones, this tinted lip treatment is flattering on a range of skin tones (warm undertones are notoriously hard to pull off). U Beauty’s Plasma Lip Compound also features luxury touches, like a cooling metal applicator that deposits the perfect amount of product.

On top of the new Rom Com tinted lip balm, Tinx’s collaboration with U Beauty also includes a limited-edition bundle of three products, including The Resurfacing Compound (a favorite face exfoliator for WWD Shop editors) and The Return Eye Concentrate. Both are available for a limited time at ubeauty.com.
