Orlando International Airport (MCO) is minimally affected by the global IT issues impacting U.S. airlines. Operations are stabilizing, and travelers are advised to check flight statuses and allow extra time at the airport.
Orlando International Airport (MCO) has experienced minimal disruption from the recent global technology issue that affected IT systems at several U.S. airlines. Our team is actively collaborating with airline partners to ensure smooth passenger flow and ease of operations within the terminal.
Currently, local airlines are progressively resuming normal operations. As of Friday morning, here is the situation at MCO:
- Delays affecting flights to, from, or within the U.S.: 74
- Cancellations at Orlando International Airport: 65
The FAA is diligently overseeing the situation and coordinating with the airlines.
Although MCO’s own IT systems remain unaffected, we recognize the inconvenience caused to travelers and are working with our partners to address and reduce any disruptions at the airport.
