Pegasus Airlines inaugurates direct flights from Cologne Bonn Airport to Gaziantep, Turkey. The airline’s first flight to the southeastern city took off yesterday, June 20th, with weekly Thursday services planned for the future.

“Turkey is a key target market for passengers at our airport – both for holiday travellers and for passengers visiting family and friends there,” says Thilo Schmid, CEO of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH. “We are therefore delighted that the direct connection from Pegasus Airlines to Gaziantep means that the range of flights to Turkey is now even more extensive.”

Gaziantep, situated in southeastern Turkey, stands as one of the nation’s largest cities, boasting a population exceeding two million and a rich history spanning over 5,000 years. The city hosts an array of ancient artifacts, showcased at the Archaeological Museum, and is home to the Zeugma Mosaic Museum, which proudly exhibits a vast collection of Roman mosaics. Dominating the skyline is Gaziantep’s iconic citadel, perched atop a central hill. Renowned for its culinary delights, Gaziantep has earned UNESCO recognition as one of the world’s foremost gastronomic cities.

Travelers can expect a flight time of approximately four hours between Cologne/Bonn and Gaziantep, with flights operated by an Airbus A320 and a Boeing 737-800. Pegasus Airlines extends its services beyond Gaziantep to include various destinations across Turkey, such as Antalya, Istanbul-Sabiha Gökcen, and Izmir.
