KARACHI:

Former West Indies cricketer Ian Bishop shows his support for the Pakistani cricket team (PCT) ahead of their crucial clash with India, expressing confidence in their capabilities.

Green shirts seems to be in hot waters following unexpected defeat by USA

The gap between the end of the USA’s Super Over and the start of Pakistan’s highlighted the game’s narrative vividly, with American fielders set and Saurabh Netravalkar, who juggles cricket with a Silicon Valley job, ready to bowl.

Pakistan, usually favored, found themselves uncertain and self-doubting, struggling to dig out of the hole they created.

Babar Azam’s concerns about factors beyond Pakistan’s control, like weather and team balance, couldn’t shield them from their lackluster performance.

Despite Babar’s attempts to stabilize, Pakistan’s batting faltered, showcasing their middle-order weakness.

Their bowling also lacked intensity, allowing USA to chase with ease. Even though Pakistan almost salvaged a win, their wastefulness, especially in crucial moments, proved costly.

Mohammad Amir’s deviation from the bowling plan in the Super Over and Pakistan’s surprise at USA’s tactics sealed their defeat.

In essence, Pakistan’s squandered opportunities throughout the match outweighed their brief attempt at redemption.
