Austrian Airlines and Schönbrunn Group Launch ‘Highlights of Vienna’ with New Dreamliner

Austrian Airlines and the Schönbrunn Group have teamed up to name the Dreamliner OE-LPM in Austrian Airlines’ livery, introducing the new “Highlights of Vienna” naming concept.

The Boeing 787-9, now named “Schönbrunn Palace,” proudly carries this iconic Austrian attraction worldwide. With over three million visitors annually, Schönbrunn Palace is Austria’s top tourist destination. Schönbrunn Palace, along with numerous other Viennese landmarks, draws many tourists to Vienna. The Schönbrunn Group and Austrian Airlines have a long-standing partnership on various projects, and the naming of the OE-LPM marks another milestone in their collaboration.

Michael Trestl, Chief Commercial Officer of Austrian Airlines, is enthusiastic about the cooperation:

Following the OE-LPM, future Boeing 787-9s will also be named after local landmarks to highlight Austrian Airlines’ strong connection to Austrian tourism and the charm of Vienna’s attractions.
