Saudia expands its network, adding Medan as its second Indonesian destination after Jakarta, underscoring its commitment to the Southeast Asian market.

Saudia is set to expand its flight network by adding Medan as a new destination, marking its second city in Indonesia after Jakarta. This strategic move highlights the airline’s commitment to increasing its presence in the Southeast Asian market.

To support this expansion, Saudia will operate four weekly flights connecting Medan with Jeddah and Medina. These new routes are scheduled to commence on August 31, offering passengers more travel options and flexibility.

The addition of Medan to Saudia route network is expected to boost tourism and business travel between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia. By linking these cities, the airline aims to cater to the growing demand for air travel in the region.

With the new flights, Saudia continues to enhance its international reach, providing passengers with convenient and efficient travel solutions. This development underscores the airline’s ongoing efforts to connect more destinations and serve a broader customer base.

Saudia, the flag carrier of Saudi Arabia, is headquartered in Jeddah. Its primary hub is King Abdulaziz International Airport, while King Khalid International Airport in Riyadh also serves as a significant base of operations.

By 2030, Saudia plans to withdraw Riyadh as a major hub, focusing its efforts on Jeddah to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
