Hong Kong Airlines partners with Chu Kong to extend intermodal services to the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge, enhancing regional connectivity.

Since 2022, Hong Kong Airlines and Chu Kong Passenger Transport have been offering streamlined intermodal codeshare services that combine sea and air travel. This collaboration has made travel more efficient and improved the overall passenger experience. Recently, Hong Kong Airlines announced an upgraded version of the “Leisure Pass.” This enhancement links Hong Kong International Airport with seven key ferry terminals and a border checkpoint in the Greater Bay Area, including locations such as Shenzhen Shekou and Zhuhai Port of the Hong Kong-Zhuhai-Macao Bridge. This allows for integrated booking of air, ferry, and bus tickets via Hong Kong Airlines’ online platforms and select travel agencies in Mainland China, facilitating seamless travel across the network.

The “Leisure Pass” service spans the entire Greater Bay Area, offering rapid transfer options such as sea-to-air and air-to-sea connections, minimizing travel times to less than two hours from various ports to the SkyPier at Hong Kong International Airport. Additionally, the introduction of a new checkpoint at HZMB Zhuhai Port enhances land border crossing flexibility.

Travelers using the “Leisure Pass” benefit from exemptions from the Air Passenger Departure Tax at Hong Kong International Airport. They enjoy convenient check-in and baggage transfer services right from their departure points in the Greater Bay Area. This enables them to board high-speed ferries or buses to the SkyPier and directly transfer to their Hong Kong Airlines flights. This streamlined process eliminates the need for further immigration and customs checks or additional check-ins at the airport, significantly smoothing the journey to their final destinations.

Hong Kong Airlines continues to refine this service, aiming to enhance the travel experience for both business and leisure travelers and to promote Hong Kong International Airport as a key transit hub for the region.
