LOT Polish Airlines is thrilled to announce the addition of Larnaca, Cyprus, to its expanding network of destinations. Beginning on October 28, 2024, LOT will reconnect with the vibrant city of Larnaca after a two-year hiatus, marking a significant enhancement to their service offerings.

This new route is part of LOT’s ambitious growth strategy for 2024-2028, which follows closely on the heels of last week’s announcement of new flights to Lyon, France. With the addition of Larnaca, LOT now offers travelers more options to explore the beauty and cultural richness of the Mediterranean.

During the winter season, LOT will operate flights from Warsaw to Larnaca four times a week—Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays. The schedule expands in the summer, providing six weekly flights that cover every day except Tuesday. The outbound flight, LO171, will depart from Warsaw at 10:40 AM, arriving in Larnaca at 3:10 PM. The return flight, LO172, will leave Larnaca at 4:10 PM and land in Warsaw at 6:50 PM. All flights to and from Cyprus will be served by the reliable Boeing 737 aircraft.

Larnaca, located on the south-eastern coast of Cyprus, is a city rich in history and natural beauty. Built on the ancient city-kingdom of Kition, it is a place where past and present seamlessly blend. Visitors can enjoy the Mediterranean climate, with its warm, sandy beaches and vibrant emerald waters. The city’s Foinikoudes Promenade is perfect for those seeking leisurely walks and picturesque sunsets.

For the more adventurous, Larnaca offers a wealth of historical and cultural sites. The city is home to the 17th-century Turkish Fort, the Orthodox Church of St. Lazarus from the 9th century, the historic Kamares Aqueduct, and the Hala Sultan Tekke Mosque situated by the iconic Salt Lake, renowned for its flamingo populations.

Larnaca also serves as an ideal base for exploring the wider region of Cyprus, the third-largest island in the Mediterranean. The island’s rich mythology includes tales of Aphrodite, the goddess of love, emerging from the sea. The local cuisine reflects a blend of Mediterranean and Southern European influences, with a focus on olive oil, fresh produce, and seafood.

The Larnaca International Airport, located just 8 kilometers south of the city center, is the busiest in Cyprus, efficiently connecting travelers to and from the island.

Tickets for this exciting new route are available starting July 16, through all LOT sales channels, including their official website, contact center, and travel offices.
