Saudia, the national airline of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, has claimed the top spot globally for on-time performance, as per a June 2024 report by independent aviation tracker Cirium. The report highlights that Saudia achieved an on-time arrival rate of 88.22% and an on-time departure rate of 88.73%, across 16,133 flights to over 100 destinations on four continents. This accomplishment is particularly significant given the peak travel periods of Hajj and summer.
Since last year, Saudia has consistently ranked among the top ten global airlines for on-time performance, showcasing its dedication to exceptional quality and air safety standards. The airline’s operations are coordinated through the Middle East’s largest Integrated Operation Control Center (IOCC), which oversees all sectors and group companies. The center employs advanced technologies for real-time aircraft communication, ensuring smooth operations by monitoring all procedures related to takeoff and landing at both domestic and international stations.
Established in 1945, Saudia has grown to be one of the largest airlines in the Middle East. It has invested heavily in upgrading its fleet, now one of the youngest in the industry. Saudia serves an extensive global network, covering approximately 100 destinations across four continents, including all 28 domestic airports in Saudi Arabia.
