TAAG Angola Airlines boosts its cargo operations, now offering enhanced services to Nigeria, Congo, and South Africa.

In a strategic move to bolster its presence in the African air cargo market, TAAG Angola Airlines has recently expanded its cargo operations. The airline now provides two weekly cargo flights to Lagos (LOS) in Nigeria, Brazzaville (BZV) in the Republic of Congo, and Johannesburg (JNB) in South Africa.

The expansion utilizes the Boeing Converted Freighter (B737-800BCF) in TAAG’s fleet, which boasts a capacity of 24 tons and supports 11 pallet positions, enabling it to carry 10 contoured 96in x 125in pallets.

TAAG has significantly enhanced its cargo service offerings. It now delivers over 100 tons of cargo weekly between Luanda and Johannesburg and more than 45 tons on the Luanda-Lagos-Brazzaville route.

Updated cargo flight schedules are as follows:

  • The Luanda-Lagos-Brazzaville route now operates twice weekly with departures from Angola on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
  • The Luanda-Johannesburg route also features two weekly departures, on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

This initiative is pivotal for TAAG Angola Airlines, as it underscores the airline’s commitment to making the Luanda hub and the New Luanda International Airport a central node in the African import/export sector.
