Qatar Airways has partnered with Qatar Museums as a headline sponsor for the ‘Art for Tomorrow’ conference, set to occur in Venice, Italy, from June 5 to 7, 2024, at the Palazzo Diedo. The event, orchestrated by The Democracy & Culture Foundation, coincides with the airline’s resumption of flights to Venice on June 12, 2024.

Travelers from Doha’s Hamad International Airport, recently named the Best Airport in the World by Skytrax, will soon have direct flights to Venice. Visitors can look forward to experiencing the city’s iconic canals, squares, and palazzos.

The theme for the 2024 conference is ‘Imperfect Beauty,’ featuring discussions led by New York Times journalists on how the arts can foster unity and healing. Notable participants include designer Philippe Starck and artists Giulia Andreani, Sean Scully, and John Akomfrah, among others.

Qatar Airways Group Chief Executive Officer, Engr. Badr Mohammed Al-Meer, said: “I am honoured to join Qatar Museums as a proud Headline Sponsor of Art for Tomorrow which celebrates our cultural heritage while protecting it for our future generations.”

He added: “We are also excited to resume daily services to Venice on 12 June, one of the most iconic and popular destinations in the world. This strategic expansion underlines our commitment to the European market.”
